On October 17, 2020, at the Information Technology Park of Da Nang, the High-Tech Information Technology Project on research, production, and assembly of high-tech electronics equipment Surface Mount Technology (Technology project SMT) were held inaugurated. This is one of the projects contributing to the realization of the Politburo's Resolution 43 on "Construction and development of Da Nang city to 2030, with a vision to 2045".
This technology project was by Trungnam EMS Joint Stock Company. SMT technology is an electronics industry with circuit board technology, which is the main technology used in the manufacture of electronics. The use of SMT technology brings highly automated production, improving operational productivity as well as creating flexibility in the process of changing electronic product details.
By using SMT technology, Trungnam EMS put into operation 3 production lines with a capacity of up to 6,200,000 products in a year. Trungnam EMS is also planning to expand the production apply modern technology with the workshop area A2B4. The first floor has 8 production lines with SMT technology, and the second floor produces electronic components to supply electronic equipment and products meet international standards for the region and the world.
With 20 years of experience working with technology companies in Silicon Valley, USA, Mr. Peter Huynh, CEO of Trungnam EMS shared his goal and follow Silicon Valley's high technology standards, while training a team of senior engineers, talent, and experience. Accordingly, each employee is trained with a budget of 45,000 USD (more than 1 billion VND) for 180 days, ensuring a minimum of 5 certificates to be able to operate modern technology lines.
The SMT technology project is the first step towards the development orientation of information technology in Da Nang; Accompanying in the information technology field are software parks, technology parks, nurseries, sub-projects, and more than 341 hectares of technical infrastructure, facilities of the IT park project (Danang IT Park), of which 131 hectares of phase 1 has completed the infrastructure, and was issued by Prime Minister Decision 27 / QD-TTg on the establishment, effective from the date of January 6, 2020. Theond phase of the Danang IT Park project will also soon be deployed synchronously right after the People's Committee of Da Nang City hands over the site to the investor.
Danang IT Park with a scale of 341 hectares was planned in 2 phases, phase 1 has an area of 131 hectares with a total investment of 47 million USD, phase 2 has an area of 210 hectares with 74 million USD investment, located in Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district, invested by Da Nang IT Park Development Joint Stock Company. Danang IT Park is oriented to become one of the best information technology development communities in Asia in Da Nang city following the Silicon Valley model of the United States./.
