Living in a single-parent family, her mother had a traffic accident and lost her ability to work, and her family's circumstances were extremely difficult. On September 6, 2023, Thu Hien happily announced that she was about to graduate from the Faculty of General Medicine - Danang University.
Thu Hien is one of two students who received scholarships from Mr. Nguyen Tam Tien - General Director of Trungnam Group throughout their university years. The opportunity came from the first year Trung Nam participated in the 2017 School Support Program of Tuoi Tre newspaper. Impressed by the determined student who overcame difficulties in studying and dreamed of becoming a doctor, Mr. Tam Tien offered to sponsor and accompany her to fulfill that dream.

When Thu Hien was in 8th grade, her mother had a traffic accident, lost her ability to work, and the family's situation became even more difficult. Therefore, her childhood was filled with hard work and hardship to help her mother. Although she had to work hard to earn a living, Thu Hien's mother always created conditions for her to go to school. Living in poverty, going to school and helping her mother, but throughout her years in primary, secondary and high school, she was always an excellent student of the school.
In 2017, the poor student's efforts were rewarded with an admission notice to the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy - University of Danang. Thu Hien was both happy and sad when she told her mother the news, because she knew that joy was accompanied by the worry of not knowing where her mother would find money to pay for her university education.
And then, one day, a greater joy suddenly came to her, when she participated in receiving a scholarship for new students of Tuoi Tre newspaper, fate brought her to meet and receive direct support from personal expenses of Mr. Nguyen Tam Tien. It was that support that helped Thu Hien have a higher determination because she wanted to study Medicine - Rehabilitation to be able to treat her mother and those who unfortunately had accidents. Because I know that only by trying to study and practice well, becoming a useful person for the community and society can I repay that gratitude and enthusiastic support.
It is known that in 6 years of university, Thu Hien was always in the top of the class, her achievements are even more admirable when she worked as a tutor, covered additional living expenses, studied and won additional scholarships at school.
Today, the dream of becoming a doctor, wearing a white blouse has come true, at the graduation ceremony, Thu Hien happily shared: "Today, I have fulfilled a part of my dream, The path to becoming a good doctor still requires a lot of effort, but I still believe that I will overcome it to become a good doctor, useful to society, not letting down my family and those who have placed their trust in me.”
After 7 consecutive years of accompanying the Support to School program with a budget of more than 2 billion VND, Trungnam Group has contributed to supporting hundreds of new students to enter university. Up to now, many students receiving scholarships from the program have graduated, have stable jobs and have made many contributions to society.
