Tuoi Tre newspaper collaborated with the Quang Nam - Da Nang Youth Union, Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province, Da Nang city, held a scholarship ceremony awarded 150 scholarships with a total value of VND 1.5 billion to new students with difficulties, each scholarship worth VND 10 million-VND 15 million on November 21, in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.
The Quang Nam - Da Nang School, also presented 15 awards to 15 new students who had previously received school scholarships and had excelled academically, with a total value of VND 150 million sponsored by Trungnam Group.
With the help of sponsors and members of Quang Nam - Da Nang, the school relay scholarship has made it possible for many new students from challenging backgrounds to attend school and encouraged them to succeed in their studies.
The Schoolscholarship program for new students in Quang Nam province and Da Nang city is in its 16th year.
So far, 1,895 new students have received scholarships with more than VND 11.5 billion. At the same time, many club members adopt and support new students' living expenses, transportation, and jobs away from home.
The School Scholarship has supported 19,344 new students to the lecture hall with more than VND 134.9 billion after 17 years of implementation. The program will be held for the 18th time in 2020, with 1,000 new students from 63 provinces receiving scholarships with more than 11 billion VND.
