On May 23, 2020 Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong & Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Chairman & Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee with leaders of department and board of the city had a field trip to the anti-flood by tide project. The sluice at Tan Thuan, Phu Xuan, Muong Chuoi, Cay Kho, as well as 7.8km dikes.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tam Tien, General Director of Trungnam Group, said that the project had problems with site clearance. To ensure the construction progress, he proposed to hand over the land in early June 2020 for the investors to ensure construction progress.
The anti-flooding project has received huge interest in people in HCM City, Phong said. He highly welcomes the investor who has advanced their capital to ensure the progress. It has been observed that work has guaranteed to reach 78% of the progress.
If the city hand over the land in June 2020, the investor will encourage workers to work continuous shift work, even in the holidays to catch the schedule in October 2020 to welcome Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Congress.
Trungnam Group needs specific solutions to implement the project operation as well as training the operation team and prepare to transfer technology when the anti-flooding project finished
The anti-flood by tide project is PPP, specifically in category of Building Transfer (BT). This is a form of coordinated investment between the private sector and the government sector which will bring economic efficiency and infrastructure development.
