TRUNGNAM E&C RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF MERIT FROM THE PRIME MINISTER

For its efforts in fulfilling assigned tasks and contributing to the completion of a key national infrastructure project, Trungnam E&C is honored to be one of 16 collectives nationwide awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister.

After nearly three years of construction with strong determination and effective application of special mechanisms approved by the National Assembly and the Government, the Hau Giang – Ca Mau component project (part of the Eastern North–South Expressway, Can Tho – Ca Mau axis, 2021–2025 phase) has basically completed the main expressway alignment and meets the conditions for technical opening to traffic on December 19, 2025. Remaining items are being finalized to complete the entire main expressway alignment for official operation, expected from 9:00 a.m. on December 31, 2025.

The Hau Giang – Ca Mau component project has a length of approximately 73.22 km, with an additional 16.6 km connecting route, passing through Can Tho and Ca Mau (formerly Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, and Ca Mau). The project has a four-lane scale, commenced on January 1, 2023, with a total investment of approximately VND 17,152 billion. Upon completion, the route will close the Can Tho – Ca Mau axis of the North–South Expressway, forming a strategic infrastructure foundation for the region. This is a key north–south expressway section in the Mekong Delta and has been inspected on multiple occasions by leaders at various levels.

To ensure progress, Trungnam E&C mobilized maximum manpower and construction equipment under the spirit of “three shifts, four teams” and “working through sun and rain.”

The project comprises three construction packages, of which Package XL-01 (executed by the Consortium of Trungnam E&C, Truong Son, Cienco4, and Tan Nam) has a total length of 38.8 km, including a Class I roadway and 38 road bridges (one Class II bridge and 37 Class III bridges). The section is designed with four lanes, a roadbed width of 24.75 meters, and a design speed of 100 km/h.

Trung Nam Construction & Installation Corporation (Trungnam E&C), the leading member of the consortium, stated that the contractor mobilized hundreds of engineers and workers along with modern equipment, organizing continuous day-and-night construction under the “three shifts, four teams” model. Under the close direction of the Prime Minister and with the coordination of ministries, sectors, and local authorities, difficulties and obstacles were gradually resolved. Thanks to the efforts of the investor and contractors, the project was accelerated and technically opened to traffic as scheduled.

According to Mr. Hoang Cong Cuong, site commander of Trungnam E&C: “The contractor was responsible for constructing 10 km—the longest section in the entire package. To ensure progress, maximum manpower and equipment were mobilized. Over the past two months, the entire construction site has operated in three shifts, four teams, working overnight without interruption. Each daytime shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., followed by the night shift from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.”

The inauguration ceremony and technical opening to traffic of the Can Tho – Ca Mau expressway took place on the morning of December 19, 2025.

Accordingly, on the morning of December 19, at Vi Thuy Commune, Can Tho City, the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with Can Tho City and An Giang and Ca Mau provinces, held the inauguration and technical opening ceremony of the Can Tho – Ca Mau expressway (official inauguration and opening of the Can Tho – Hau Giang section and technical opening of the Hau Giang – Ca Mau section).

Coinciding with the technical opening milestone, the collective of Trungnam E&C was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister (along with 16 other collectives nationwide), recognizing its persistent efforts and contributions to the emulation movements “500 days and nights of emulation to complete 3,000 km of expressways” and “Promoting the development of synchronized and modern infrastructure, practicing thrift, and preventing waste.” This recognition reflects the contributions of Trungnam E&C’s engineers and workers on key national infrastructure projects and supports the company’s continued commitment to strict discipline in progress, quality, and safety during the final completion phase.
