On January 15, 2022, at 4:00 a.m., hundreds of athletes competing in the Trung Nam Marathon with the theme "Vuot Trung Khoi," organized by Trungnam Group, began in the coastal area of Duyen Hai - Tra Vinh Province. This is an awe-inspiring track in the Southwest's East Sea. The tournament was held on the leading bridge with a 25km track at Trungnam Group's Dong Hai 1 Wind Power Plant, one of Vietnam's first offshore wind power projects.

Participating in a 5km marathon for the first time, athlete Tu Chinh – who won the 100m gold medal at the 2017 Sea Games – exclaimed, "This is not only a race but also a chance to bring the feeling of running on the road built by the spirit and strength of the Vietnamese people.
