Mỹ Thuận 2 Bridge is a strategic cable-stayed bridge connecting the two provinces of Tiền Giang and Vĩnh Long. Located on the North–South Expressway, the project marks an important milestone as the first major cable-stayed bridge entirely designed and constructed by Vietnamese engineers and workers.

Location: Approximately 350 m upstream from the existing Mỹ Thuận Bridge.
Total route length: 6.61 km (of which the main bridge is about 1.9 km long, with approach roads at both ends totaling 4.7 km).
Deck width: 28 m.
Design scale: 6 lanes, with a design speed of 80 km/h.
Main span and pylons: A cable-stayed main span of 350 m, a navigational clearance of 37.5 m, and two pylons standing 125 m tall.
Investment budget: Over VND 5,000 billion.
Commencement date: February 27, 2020.
Full-route opening date: December 24, 2023.
