Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is one of the key national projects in the Mekong Delta. In the bustling atmosphere of the National Day holidays 2.9, at Rach Mieu 2 construction site, Package XL-02 (including the construction of Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridge (range between 2 anchor pillars) Km5+913 - Km6+423) is still bustling with engineers and workers of the Trungnam E&C Joint Venture contractor, determined to stay at the construction site, working "3 shifts and 4 shifts" to ensure project progress. This has also been a familiar pace for over a year since the project began.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport) - the investor of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project, the construction work is currently very favorable, the source of sand materials is proactively guaranteed by contractors, some difficulties other issues related to site clearance, relocation of technical infrastructure... have been resolved.
The investor and contractors have identified the important role of this project as "sharing the burden" for the existing Rach Mieu bridge which is overloaded, causing traffic congestion, so the construction progress must be accelerated.

Up to this point, all 6/6 packages of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project in Ben Tre and Tien Giang provinces have been accelerated, with 32 construction teams, 452 workers, 80 technical staff, and 147 pieces of machinery and equipment operating during the National Day holiday.

Mr. Hoang Dang Hau, a technical officer in charge of the construction of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project, shared that the West is characterized by rivers, especially during the rainy season, so construction conditions are not favorable. However, with the determination to complete the project on schedule according to the direction of the Prime Minister, all workers at the construction site proactively divided into shifts, taking advantage of the weather to ensure both safety and progress.

With the spirit of overcoming all difficulties and prioritizing resources, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is entering the completion stage with 57.73% of the overall basic requirements according to the plan; the main bridge - Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is ahead of schedule by more than 5%.
In which, the main bridge (Rach Mieu 2 Bridge) and the tower (P19&P20) have been completed 95%; The cable-stayed cables for the two towers have been completed and the scaffolding is being dismantled, preparing to cast the Ki blocks.
